The most important achievements
  • Discovery and description of a locality with the first dicynodonts known from the Germanic Basin at Woźniki (Sulej et al. 2011).
  • Description of a fauna with the oldest dicynodonts and largest theropod in Europe from Lisowice (Dzik et al. 2008)
  • Discovery and description of a locality with the oldest turtles and first Mesozoic record of  limbs in Poland from Poręba (Sulej et al. 2012).
  • Description of a new capitosaur from the Holy Cross Mountains, which was the largest tetrapod of its time (Sulej i Niedźwiedzki 2013).
  • Description of the oldest aetosaur from Europe with a presentation of aetosaurian evolution (Sulej 2010)

Scientific expeditions
  • 2013 leader of a large expedition to Late Permian and Early Triassic localities in Russia. These were two-weeks excavations in which 13 students from Poland were able work directly with Russian scientists.
  • 2013 leader of a large expedition to a Middle Triassic locality in Tunisia. This expedition allowed 2 students from Poland to work directly with Tunisian scientists.
  • 2010 leader of a large expedition to Late Permian and Early Triassic localities in Russia. These were two-weeks excavations in which 18 students from Poland were able work directly with Russian scientists.
  • 2008 leader of small expedition to Late Permian and Early Triassic localities in Russia.
  • 2006 expedition to a Late Jurassic locality in the Karatau Mountains of Kazakhstan.
